Giulia Grassili is a cinema expert who has worked with Cineteca di Bologna for more than 10 years. She has participated as a reporter for the Biennale di Venezia (2004-2006) in the International Cinematographic Art Exhibit for African and Arabic cinema. She has also worked as a freelance in art, cinema and human rights projects (Africa at the Pictures, Channel 4 BRITDOC Foundation, Oxfam International, London, UK; AfricanBamba, Thiaroye, Senegal). She’s the founder and the president of Human Rights Film Network, an international network of human rights cinema festivals. She has been visiting professor of Cinema, Human Rights and Anthropology in the Frei Universitat Bozen and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
